In the WeAre adventure initiated 4 years ago, 2019 was the year of consolidation and recognition.

Our clients entrusted us with 150,000 order lines and we delivered more than 4 million parts with a record level of performance: 98% of OTD and less than 500ppm of detective parts for all customers.

Our commitment & professionalism have been recognized by many customers such as Airbus, which awarded us the prestigious Performance & Quality Award in the Aerostructures and Materials category,
and by Latécoère with its prize for ESPACE’s industrial performance.

In 2020,
our outstanding service quality will be further enhanced with the deployment of the Group’s industrial strategy, designed to offer our customers the best possible response in terms of both technological expertise and performance.

INVESTMENT

In 2019, deployment of our ambitious industrial policy continued in order to prepare our growth for 2020.

We have thus continued the transformation of our sites:

On the Bouy site we set up a new 4,000m² (43,000 sq. ft.) building, which houses a materials hub and a dedicated lines for hydraulic parts.

At Chatal in Saint Nicolas de Redon, our surface treatment site, new painting booths were installed and the security of the site was reinforced.

Chatal in Herbignac has consolidated its organization through ambitious and agile projects, which have improved its production cycles and productivity.

At UMPM Casablanca the production capacity was doubled.

Opening of 2 new sites, in Morocco (EFOA) and in Montauban.

All the sites have deployed monitoring and control rooms.

We now have a unique tool for the daily digital management of the Group’s performance.

Almost €20 million has been invested in our various sites, several dozen machines have been added to the Group’s facilities and new buildings have been erected.

TECHNOLOGY

In 2019, we inaugurated EFOA’s new site in Morocco in the presence of Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade.
This event allowed us to highlight the success of Morocco Park. EFOA is a modern and technologically very advanced site thanks to Raouf Moustahssine, its manager, and his teams.

In 2020,
we will continue investing in Morocco, our objective being to strengthen synergism between France and Morocco and to achieve €20M in turnover in this area by 2022.

COMMITMENT

In 2019, we also made a commitment to our ecosystem which led to us being awarded the MEDEF44 inclusion trophy, along with our partner, DSI, a company accredited for the employment of people with disabilities. This award allowed us to promote our programmers’ platform project in Lavau sur Loire.
The project, which involved our teams and those of DSI Atlantique but also Cap Emploi and Missler (the publisher of TopSolid), enabled 8 job-seekers with disabilities to receive training in programming and thus increase their employability for a job with added value and career potential. This team collaborates daily with our industrial sites and is an effective and innovative advantage of our strategy for accelerating industrialization.

In 2020, we will strengthen our partnership with DSI and other players in the sheltered employment sector and will intensify our support for people with disabilities.

In 2019, all of our sites began the process of obtaining ISO14001 certification.
In 2020, these social responsibility undertakings will be put into practice as part of our sustainable development policy. They will aim to put our concern for the environment in the forefront and to give us an edge over the competition.

INNOVATION

Our challenging and innovative strategy was widely acclaimed at the 2019 Paris Air Show and throughout the year thanks to numerous commercial successes.

The 2019 Paris Air Show enabled us to reinforce our image of agility & technical expertise and to assert our capacity for innovation thanks to our bold choice of a 100% digital stand. We were able to show our customers the extent of our development since 2017 and to reinforce our position as a preferred partner.

Our efforts definitely paid off in 2019 with:

  • The winning of a number of contracts, several packages from major customers such as Airbus, Safran, Thalès, Latécoère and Collins Aerospace, and key contracts in the defense market, which offer us good prospects for diversification.
  • The development of very promising co-engineering projects with new customers in the telecommunications market.

DEVELOPMENT

Alexandre Bonnarme joined the WeAre Group as Group Sales Director in September 2019.
In 2020, Alexandre and his teams will take up the challenge by creating a Costing division at the Head Office.

The last quarter of 2019 was devoted to restructuring the Group to streamline its organization:
this included organization charts, its legal structure,
the industrial model, the efficiency of certain BUs, etc.

Jean-Noël BASSO joined us as director of the COMEFOR site with the missions of increasing the industrial maturity of the site and developing a new tooling activity.

2020 will also see strategic international projects and a new version of our additive model, projects for which we will be able to give you more details in the coming months.

NEW SITE OF MONTAUBAN

2019 was noteworthy for the development of our new site in Montauban.
This showcase of our expertise is home to the Farella production site, Additive manufacturing facility, the WeAre Academy and the Group’s R&D division; all controlled by the head office that manages all the Group’s sites. Since September, the site’s 200 employees have been happy to share the new setting which has facilitated their interaction.

In 2020, we look forward to celebrating our achievements with you and to inaugurating our new headquarters, a center of excellence.

As you will have noted, much was achieved in 2019

The Supervisory Board members, my family, the Executive Committee and I would like to congratulate the teams who have brilliantly managed the project for the new Montauban site since September 2018 and in particular the industrial transfer from Farella’s historical site, which went off without a hitch.
We would also like to congratulate all employees at each site in France and abroad as well as at the head office for their daily commitment and for having brilliantly met the challenges of 2019.

I’m very proud to work alongside such motivated and committed teams, it is this cohesion that makes WeAre’s strength.

We approach the challenges awaiting us in 2020 serenely thanks to the solid assets we have at our disposal:

  • Available capicities
  • High-performance sites with a clear path to excellence
  • Fully mastered and competitive industrial facilities
  • Teams are trained and ready to take any challenge
  • Existing and available inter-site synergism
  • Agile organization with a hyper-responsive head office that is attentive to all needs.

On behalf of the entire management team,
I would like to thank you for your commitment to the success of the WeAre Group and wish you and your families a wonderful year in 2020.
